Anne Bancroft YMA DREAM

Anyone wants to hear Yma Sumac tell me. I have  her  CD.. This is hilarious....enjoy!!!!!  This fantastic sketch by Anne Bancroft is from 1970. This sketch was adapted from a New Yorker piece by Thomas Meehan. Who happened to write Hairspray. Hope you have a good chuckle.

And do you know Sumac's role in the musical "Flahooley"? It's amazing -- and the musical is a helluva lot better than its fate (destroyed by right-wing critic Dorothy Kilgallen)
would imply. The VERY young Barbara Cook was the female lead!!! By the way: there's another YouTube reading by Christine Baranski!
